![]() ![]() While the language used in the novel (though it can be argued that it is much more than a novel, rather some sort of philosophical or psychological discussion) isn’t entirely acceptable or understandable to many, David Foster Wallace really encapsulated (sometimes rather stereotypically) and created many different people that all have their distinct background and unique viewpoints about the world, and although certain elements of their stories seem to coincide with one another, the overall (and absurdly large) cast is very diverse. At the end of the day, I am happy that I did not do this. ![]() I had no idea what was going on at the beginning of the book and was quite lost (leading me to almost want to drop reading it entirely). ![]() I came into the book knowing nothing of the subject matter other than the name (and its relation to a line in Hamlet). Introduction: Infinite Jest is somewhat of a ‘black sheep’ in terms of books that I’ve read. ![]()
